UCT Press and the African Copyright and Access to Knowledge (ACA2K) project invite you to the launch of “Access to Knowledge in Africa: the Role of Copyright” on Saturday, 31 July 2010, from 11h00 to 12h30 at the Cape Town Book Fair (CTICC, room 1.43 – 1.44). Dr Tobias Schonwetter of the IP Law & Policy Research Unit is one of the editors of the book as well as – together with Caroline Ncube (IP Law & Policy Research Unit) and Pria Chetty (Chetty Law, Johannesburg) – part of the South African ACA2K research team. The book aims to inform the reader about the existing relationships between copyright and access to learning material in Africa; it will be available under a Creative Commons licence both in hard copy format and electronically.
